Getting to the OBX
First of all, any of you who are coming from out of town, we want to say THANK YOU! The Outer Banks is a beautiful destination, but it's not easy to get to, so we appreciate all of your efforts to be there for our special day. We hope the fact that our wedding is during Labor Day weekend will help you with getting to and from the OBX.
Flights
The closest airport to the Outer Banks is Norfolk International Airport (ORF) in Norfolk, VA. It's about a two hour drive from the airport to the hotel. Flying into Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) in Raleigh, NC may be less expensive, but that drive will be 3+ hours.
Driving Directions
Take I-95 to I-64 East (Toward Williamsburg, VA) - continue to I-664 to Monitor-Merrimac Bridge Tunnel to I-64, in Chesapeake, VA - take exit 291B onto Route 168 south ($2 toll expressway) to North Carolina - 168 becomes 158 at the 7-eleven in Barco, NC which continues all the way to the Outer Banks - the Ramada Inn is 9.5 miles from the bridge that brings you onto the Outer Banks - turn left at the Burger King, which is Neptune Drive.
